General Science 5 is the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board's science textbook for Class 5 (Grade 5), here in its English-medium version. This is the board's own PDF of the full book: 104 pages in colour, with eight units, a glossary and an index.

The eight units are Classification of Living Things, Microorganisms, Environmental Pollution, Matter and Changes in its States, Forces and Machines, Properties and Behaviour of Light, Electricity and Magnetism, and Solar System. Every unit opens with a photograph and a list headed "In this unit, we will learn", then moves through numbered sections with labelled figures, "You Need To Know" boxes and activities. Units close with key points and questions: choosing the correct option, filling in the blanks and short answers.

The authors are Prof. Dr. Mrs. Bushra Mateen, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rehman Chaudhry, Prof. Muhammad Tahir Hussain, Faiz Hussain, Atta Dastgeer and Qaiser Saleem; the editors are Mrs. Rukhsana Zafar and Dr. Saman Jamil. The file opens with a plain title page instead of a picture cover. No date of printing is shown inside this copy; the PDF file was produced in March 2018.
