About this book

The Punjab Textbook Board's Urdu reader for Class 1 as first printed in March 1987: 24 poems and short lessons, complete in 52 scanned pages.

Darsi Kitab, Pehli Jamaat ke Liye is the Punjab Textbook Board's Urdu reader for Class 1, in its first experimental edition (tajrubati edition), first printing of March 1987. This PDF is a colour scan of the complete printed book: 52 pages from cover to cover, with printed pages 1 to 49 all present.

The reader has 24 poems and short lessons: Sab ka Data (poem), Pyare Nabi, Kaun Kya Kar Raha Hai, Pakistan Hamara, Phool aur Titli, Boojho To (poem), Mian Mitthu, Bagh ki Sair, Achha Bachcha, Tasveeri Kahani, Kaun sa Mausam Hai, Bano ka Ghar, Sher aur Khargosh, Khilone (poem), Tarkari Wala, Hamara School, Anwar ka Gaon, Rail Gari (poem), Mela, Arshad aur Burhiya, Din Raat, Badal (poem), Dara ka Safar and Bhooka Chooha. A page of the Arabic letters closes the book.

All rights are reserved with the Punjab Textbook Board, Lahore, which prepared the book. Authors: Noor Khan Shaheen Malik, Miss Shahnaz Ejaz, Mrs. Rashida Talmeez and Raja Rasheed Mahmood (convener and editor). It was designed and printed by Umeed Printers, Lahore; the back cover gives 10,000 copies. A diagonal watermark with a web address runs across every page of this scan.
