About this book

Primer-III Urdu Qaida, the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board's Urdu primer for the Kachi (pre-primary) class: the alphabet, letter shapes and joining, and counting to ten in three terms, complete in 44 pages.

Primer-III (Urdu Qaida, پرائمر-III اردو قاعدہ) is the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board's Urdu primer for the Kachi (pre-primary) class, though no class is printed inside the book. This is the board's own PDF of the full book: 44 pages, in three terms.

The first term teaches the letters alif to gaaf in small groups, each with a pictured word and dotted letters to trace, and an exercise (mashq) after every group. The second term finishes the alphabet and then shows the half (initial) shapes of the letters with pictured words. The third term covers the aspirated letters, tables for joining letters with alif, wao and ye, and counting from one to ten in numerals and in words. Two short rhymes, one of them Munne ki Amman by Sufi Tabassum, and a box of instructions for the teacher on each lesson page complete the book.

The file starts with the title and contents page; it has no separate cover and no imprint, only the board's rights notice. The PDF file was produced in April 2018.
