Computer Education 6 (2018-19)

Computer Education 6 is the Computer textbook for Class 6 (Grade 6) used in Punjab, in English. This is the full book in 148 pages: a colour scan with four units, published by Aquiline Publishers, Lahore, and selected by the Government of Punjab for its schools for the academic year 2018-19.

The four units are Introduction to Computers, Introduction to Windows, Commonly Used Software, and The Internet and World Wide Web. Each unit opens with its learning outcomes and uses photographs, labelled figures and screenshots; the software taught includes the Windows XP desktop, MS Paint, a typing tutor, MS Word 2007, Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer and search engines. Units end with an exercise of multiple choice questions, blanks, definitions, differences, brief answers, matching and labelling, followed by lab activities. Answers to the objective questions, a glossary, a bibliography and an index close the book.

The authors are Muhammad Nadeem, Muhammad Usman Sattar, Usman Mushtaq and Arshad Shaheen, with a national review committee of six. The imprint gives March 2018, first edition, first impression, and states that the book is approved under the National Curriculum 2006. No page is missing from this copy.
