English Book II (Modern Prose and Heroes) is the prose book for Class 12 (Intermediate Part II) of the Punjab Textbook Board, Lahore, prescribed for the Intermediate examination as a textbook in English. This PDF is a scan of the printed book: 89 pages, with all 15 lessons.

The lessons are The Dying Sun, Using the Scientific Method, Why Boys Fail in College, End of Term, On Destroying Books, The Man Who Was a Hospital, My Financial Career, China's Way to Progress, Hunger and Population Explosion, The Jewel of the World, First Year at Harrow, Hitch-Hiking Across the Sahara, Sir Alexander Fleming, Louis Pasteur, and Mustafa Kamal. Each lesson is a prose passage with its author's name, followed by notes that explain difficult words and by numbered comprehension questions.

The selections were made by Dr. Mohammad Saddiq and edited by Mrs. S. M. Suleri. The imprint gives May 2013, first edition, 34th impression, published for the board by Muzammal Publishing Company, Lahore. No page is missing: printed pages 1 to 86 are all present. This is a scan of a used copy, so a few pages carry pen marks.
