English 7 (2018-19)

English for Grade VII is the English textbook for Class 7 (Grade 7) of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore. This is the board's own PDF of the full book: 188 pages in colour, with 14 lessons, three reviews and a sample rubric.

The lessons are The Last Sermon of the Rasool Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), Our Villages, Eid-ul-Azha, Rain in Summer (poem), Traffic Sense, Pollution, A Dengue Patient Visits a Doctor, A Nation's Strength (poem), Kaghan Valley, Quaid-i-Azam, The Rooster and the Fox, I Dream a World (poem), Inventions and Discoveries, and A Terrible Earthquake. Each lesson states what students will be able to do, begins with pre-reading questions, gives the text in numbered paragraphs with questions in the margin, and is followed by work on vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, writing and oral communication. The reviews revise this work, and the sample rubric shows how paragraphs, essays, letters and stories are marked.

The authors are Prof. Mirza Ghulam Muhammad Baig, Prof. Mumtaz Ahmad, Mrs. Munazza Tajammal and Mrs. Tayyaba Sadaf, with a textbook review committee of seven. The introduction says the book follows the National Curriculum 2006. The imprint gives March 2018, first edition, prepared for the board by Ch. Ghulam Rasul & Sons, Lahore. No page is missing; the file opens with the title page instead of a picture cover.
