Urdu Qaida (اردو قاعدہ) is a supplementary reader from the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore: a first Urdu primer with a short English alphabet section at the back. No class is printed in the book; it is kept here with the board's Kachi (pre-primary) books. This is a scan of the printed book, complete in 42 pages (both covers and pages 1 to 40).

The Urdu pages teach the alphabet three letters at a time, each letter with its shapes, two pictured words and grey letters to write over. They then build words and short phrases and go on to zabar, zer and pesh, the long vowels, the aspirated letters, jazm, noon ghunna and shadd, followed by counting from 1 to 10. The English section, which reads from the back cover, gives the alphabet Aa to Zz with pictures and writing lines. Every page carries instructions for the teacher.

The imprint gives the date of printing as April 2017, first edition, eleventh impression, published by Bright Way Publishers, Lahore and printed at Nisab Press, Lahore. A hologram on the cover reads Academic Year 2016-17.
