About this book

The Islamiat textbook for Class 7 used in Punjab, published by Gohar Publishers, Lahore: five chapters on the Quran, beliefs and worship, the Seerat-e-Tayyiba, morals and manners, and great figures of Islam, complete in 104 pages.

Islamiat 7 is the Islamic Studies textbook for Class 7 (Grade 7) used in Punjab, written in Urdu. This is the full book in 104 pages: a colour PDF with five chapters and a glossary, prepared and published by Gohar Publishers, Urdu Bazar, Lahore.

Chapter one, Al-Quran al-Kareem, sets the Nazira reading of paras 13 to 20, three surahs to memorise (Ad-Duha, Az-Zilzal and Al-Qariah) and two duas with translation. Chapter two covers belief in the Messengers, the concept of worship in Islam, the importance of dua, and Zakat. Chapter three continues the Seerat-e-Tayyiba from the Conquest of Makkah, the battles of Hunain and Tabuk and the Farewell Sermon to the passing of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Chapter four, on morals and manners, deals with generosity, moderation, equality, the dignity of labour, pollution in the light of Islamic teachings, and the rights of relatives, guests and the sick. Chapter five presents Hazrat Aisha (RA), Hazrat Fariduddin Ganj Shakar, Salahuddin Ayyubi and Allama Ibn Khaldun. Lessons end with an exercise, an activity for students and guidance for teachers.

The authors are Aamir Mahmood Awan and Farhat Mahmood, with a review committee of nine. The imprint gives February 2018, first edition, first impression, and states that the book follows the National Curriculum 2006 and was approved by the Punjab Curriculum Authority in January 2013. No page is missing from this copy.
