The Urdu-medium General Science textbook for Class 8 from the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore: twelve chapters from human organ systems to exploring space, with a glossary and index, complete in 176 pages.

This is the Urdu-medium General Science textbook for Class 8 (Grade 8) from the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB), Lahore. It is the board's own PDF of the full book: 176 pages in colour, with twelve chapters, a glossary and an index.

The twelve chapters are human organ systems, cell division, biotechnology, pollutants and their effects on the environment, chemical reactions, acids, alkalis or bases and salts, force and pressure, measurement of physical quantities, sources and effects of heat, lenses, electricity, and exploring space. Each chapter opens with a photograph and the students' learning outcomes, explains the topic in Urdu with the English terms in brackets and labelled colour diagrams, and ends with multiple choice questions, short answers, longer questions and an activity.

The authors are Prof. Muhammad Nisar, Zafar Mehdi Zafar, Faiz Hussain, Dr. Saman Jamil, Ata Dastgir, Qaiser Saleem and Abdul Rauf Zahid; the editor is Ghufran Ahmad Asif. The preface says the book was compiled for the 2006 curriculum for classes 4 to 8 and was reviewed twice by a committee before printing. No date of printing is shown inside this copy.
