Chemistry 9 (English Medium) (2018-19)

Chemistry 9 is the English-medium Chemistry textbook for Class 9 used in Punjab, published by Caravan Book House, Lahore, and also printed by the Punjab Textbook Board for free distribution in government schools. This PDF has 152 pages in colour, with eight units.

The eight units are Fundamentals of Chemistry, Structure of Atoms, Periodic Table and Periodicity of Properties, Structure of Molecules, Physical States of Matter, Solutions, Electrochemistry, and Chemical Reactivity. Each unit opens with its major concepts, time allocation and students' learning outcomes, uses "Do you know?" and "Test yourself" boxes, tables and worked examples, and ends with key points and an exercise of multiple choice, short-answer and long-answer questions.

The authors are Dr. Jaleel Tariq and Dr. Irshad Ahmad Chatha. The credits state that the book is approved under the National Curriculum 2006 (NOC dated 2 December 2010). Please note that this copy is incomplete: printed pages 17 and 35 are missing (page 34 appears twice instead), and the file stops at the end of the Unit 8 exercise on page 151, without the answers, glossary and index that the Urdu-medium edition has. No date of printing is shown inside.
