About this book

The Islamiat textbook for Class 6 used in Punjab, published by Urdu Book Stall, Lahore: five chapters on the Quran, beliefs and worship, the Seerat-e-Tayyiba, morals and manners, and great figures of Islam, complete in 92 pages.

Islamiat 6 is the Islamic Studies textbook for Class 6 (Grade 6) used in Punjab, written in Urdu. This is the full book in 92 pages: a colour scan with five chapters, published by Urdu Book Stall, Lahore, and also printed by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board for free distribution in government schools.

The five chapters are Al-Quran al-Kareem, Imaniyat o Ibadaat (beliefs and worship), Seerat-e-Tayyiba, Akhlaq o Adaab (morals and manners), and Hidayat ke Sarchashme, on the great figures of Islam. Chapter one gives the three surahs to be memorised in Arabic with Urdu translation. Lessons quote Quranic verses and hadith with translation, and each is followed by an exercise: questions for written answers, multiple choice, fill in the blanks, true or false, matching columns and a practical activity.

The authors are Dr. Muhammad Ijaz, Usman Ahmad and Munazza Zaheer, with a review committee of six. The imprint gives February 2018, first edition, sixth impression, and states that the book is approved under the National Curriculum 2006 and that the board prints it under the publisher's print licence for free distribution in government schools.
