About this book

Tareekh 8 (تاریخ 8) is the Urdu-medium History textbook for Class 8 (Grade 8) issued by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB), Lahore. It matches the English-medium History 8 chapter for chapter. This is the board's own PDF of the full book: 72 pages in black and white, with five chapters and a glossary.

The chapters are the consolidation of British rule, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and the Aligarh movement, political awakening in British India, efforts for a political settlement, and the struggle for Pakistan. Each opens with the students' learning outcomes.

The authors include Munawar Ibn-e-Sadiq, Qazi Abdul Qadeer and Dr. Azhar Hameed, and the editor is Ghiyas Amir. The imprint names the board as publisher and gives no date of printing; the PDF file was produced in March 2018.
