The English-medium History textbook for Class 8 from the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore: five chapters from the consolidation of British rule to the struggle for Pakistan, complete in 72 pages.

History 8 is the English-medium History textbook for Class 8 (Grade 8) issued by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB), Lahore. This is the board's own PDF of the full book: 72 pages in black and white, with five chapters and a glossary.

The chapters are Consolidation of British Rule, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and Aligarh Movement, Political Awakening in British India, Quest for Political Settlement, and Struggle for Pakistan. Each opens with the students' learning outcomes and ends with exercises.

The book has ten authors, among them Munawar Ibn-e-Sadiq, Qazi Abdul Qadeer and Dr. Azhar Hameed. It was translated by Prof. Sultan Khan, Prof. Zahid Aziz and Prof. Tariq Mehmood Khan and edited by Ghiyas Amir. The imprint lines for date, edition and printer are blank; the PDF file was produced in March 2018. On a few exercise pages of this file a table is printed over the text.
