Arabic 7 (2018-19)

Arabic 7 (Arabi Satween Jamaat Ke Liye) is the Arabic textbook for Class 7 (Grade 7) of the Punjab Textbook Board, Lahore. This is the board's own PDF of the full book: 136 pages in colour, with 25 lessons and word lists.

The lessons are fully vowelled Arabic texts, poems and dialogues with photographs, on subjects such as the spring season, the zoo, the value of time, kindness, love for one's parents, earning a living, the Battle of Badr, Islam as a religion of love and peace, traditional dress, cricket, the Badshahi Mosque, the River Indus, Balochistan, the etiquette of seeking permission, Jamaluddin Afghani, the Quaid-e-Azam, Imam Ghazali and verses from the Qasida Burda. The last three are a dialogue between a doctor and a patient, a dialogue between a student and a librarian, and an application to the headmaster for sick leave. Every lesson opens with its teaching objectives in Urdu and is followed by the new words, exercises, activities and guidance for teachers; word lists with Urdu meanings for each lesson close the book.

The authors are Prof. Dr. Humayun Abbas, Prof. Hafiz Muhammad Abu Bakr and Prof. Rana Khuda Bakhsh, with a textbook review committee of eleven. The imprint gives March 2018, first edition, prepared for the board by Ch. Ghulam Rasul & Sons, Lahore, and approved by the Punjab Curriculum Authority in November 2012. No page is missing from this copy.
