Arabic 6 (2018-19)

Arabic 6 (Arabi Chhati Jamaat Ke Liye) is the Arabic textbook for Class 6 (Grade 6) of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore. This is the board's own PDF of the full book: 112 pages in colour, with 25 lessons and a list of new words.

The lessons are short vocalised Arabic texts, dialogues and poems with pictures, on subjects such as Allah my Lord, the garden, rain, the sun, kindness to parents, the human body, truthfulness, Pakistan, Makkah, the post, unity, Shalimar Garden, Islamabad, village life in Pakistan, the Khyber Pass, cleanliness, the manners of eating and of school, kindness to animals, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Every lesson opens with its learning outcomes in Urdu and is followed by the new words and by exercises: matching, completing sentences, choosing the right answer, arranging words and transforming sentences. The closing word list gives the Urdu meanings lesson by lesson.

The author is Ikramullah Khan and the editor Hameedullah Khattak, with a national review committee of seven. The imprint gives January 2018 as the date of publication and states that the book is approved under the national curriculum and the National Textbook and Learning Materials Policy 2007. The file ends with the last page of the word list, without a back cover, and is a low-resolution scan: the small print is soft but the lessons are readable.
