Good-bye, Mr. Chips is the short novel by James Hilton prescribed by the Punjab Textbook Board, Lahore, as a textbook of English for Class 12 (Intermediate Part II). This PDF is a scan of the board's printed edition: 53 pages, with the complete text in 18 chapters, the board's notes and the exercises.

The story follows Mr. Chipping, a schoolmaster at Brookfield, through his long years of teaching. The text runs to 44 printed pages with about ten line drawings set into it. It is followed by Notes on Goodbye, Mr. Chips: an alphabetical list of words, expressions and names that may be unfamiliar to students, an introduction, a note on Brookfield, and notes on the characters of Mr. Chips and Katherine Bridges. The last page gives 13 exercise questions.

The edition was edited by Muhammad Kalimuddin, with notes by the Punjab Textbook Board dated 1973. The imprint gives April 2009, first edition, 26th impression, published for the board by Nazir Sons Publishers, Lahore. No page is missing: printed pages 1 to 50 are all present. The book has no contents page, and this used copy has a few pen strokes on its first pages.
