About this book

The Class 3 Urdu textbook of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore: 27 lessons and poems. This file is incomplete: printed pages 114 to 138 and the glossary are missing.

Urdu Baraye Jamaat Soum (اردو برائے جماعت سوم) is the Urdu textbook for Class 3 (Grade 3) issued by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB), Lahore. The book has 27 lessons and a glossary. This file holds most of it but is not complete (see the note below).

It opens with a long revision unit, Aao Parhna Seekhein, on the alphabet, joining letters, nouns and verbs, and punctuation. The lessons and poems that follow include Hamd, Naat, Hamare Nabi ﷺ, Mausam ki Baat, Doosri Chadar, Khanpur ke Saleem Chacha, Meethe Bol, Chaand, Sachcha Sultan, Ilm ka Shauq, Chhoti Cheeonti, Kabaddi, Quaid-e-Azam, Cheen, Safai, Bahadur Kisan, Hum Aik Hain, Murree ki Sair, Saari Dunya Apna Ghar, Ehtram Karein and Aqwal-e-Zareen. Each lesson opens with a picture and a box of key words (khaas alfaaz).

Please note that this file is not complete. It has 124 pages. Printed pages 114 to 138 are missing: that is all of lessons 23 to 26 (Pahar aur Gilehri, Sachchi Khushi, Edhi Sahib se Mulaqat and Azadi ka Ahd) and the first eight pages of lesson 27 (Chalo Mela Dekhein). The glossary listed at page 147 is not in the file either, and the last eight pages (printed 139 to 146) are out of order. The authors are Tahira Nasir, Sadia Seema and Sadia Adeeb and the editor is Bushra Musarrat. No date of printing is shown; the PDF file was produced in March 2018.
