About this book

The compulsory Islamiat textbook for Classes 9 and 10 from the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board: Quran passages with Urdu translation, hadith with explanation and a topical study, complete in 80 pages.

Islamiat o Quran Majeed ba Tarjuma (Lazmi) is the compulsory Islamiat textbook for Classes 9 and 10 of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore, in Urdu. This is the board's own PDF of the full book: 80 pages in black and white, in three parts.

Part one, Min Hadyil Quran al-Kareem, gives passages from Surah Al-Anfal, Surah Al-Ahzab and Surah Al-Mumtahinah in large vowelled text with the Urdu translation under each line, followed by word meanings and exercises. Part two, Min Hadyil Hadith, has numbered hadith in Arabic, each with translation and explanation. Part three is the topical study: Urdu essays with Quranic references on subjects such as the Quran, love of and obedience to Allah and His Messenger (PBUH), the duty and virtue of knowledge, Zakat, and Hijrat and Jihad, each ending with a short exercise. A box on the second page sets out the syllabus for Class 9 and for Class 10.

The book was prepared by the Curriculum Wing of the Federal Ministry of Education, Islamabad, and approved by it in January 2000; the authors include Dr. Ihsan-ul-Haq, the late Dr. Saeedullah Qazi, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Azhar and Prof. Iftikhar Ahmad Bhutta. The imprint lines for publisher, date, edition and price are left blank in this copy; the PDF file was produced in March 2018. No page is missing.
