Biology 9 is the Urdu-medium Biology textbook for Class 9 used in Punjab. This is the full book in 260 pages: a colour scan with both covers, nine chapters in three sections and a glossary, published by PLD Publishers, Lahore, and also printed by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board for free distribution in government schools.

Section one, on the study of life and biodiversity, has the chapters Introduction to Biology, Solving a Biological Problem and Biodiversity. Section two, Cell Biology, covers Cells and Tissues, Cell Cycle, Enzymes and Bioenergetics. Section three, Life Processes, covers Nutrition and Transport. Each chapter opens with a list of its major topics in Urdu and English and a box of key terms with their English equivalents, and the text gives English terms in brackets. Credits, a list of supplementary reading and a glossary close the book.

The authors are Dr. William George and Dr. A. R. Sheikh, and the editors are Dr. Abdul Rauf Shakoori, Mrs. Raheela Nadeem and Dr. Hamid Saeed. The imprint gives September 2018 as the date of publication and states that the book is approved under the National Curriculum 2006 and that the board prints it under a print licence from the publisher; the cover is marked for the academic year 2018-19. No page is missing. The scan is of low resolution: large type is clear and the small print is soft.
