About this book

Volume 6 of Al-Muallim, the Urdu translation of Sahih Muslim by Allama Waheed-uz-Zaman (1850–1920), in a printing the Digital Library of India dates to 1890.

Sahih Muslim (صحیح مسلم) is one of the six major collections of hadith (the Sihah Sitta), compiled by Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj of Nishapur (d. 261 AH / 875 CE); Sunni Muslims regard it, together with Sahih al-Bukhari, as one of the two most authentic collections.

This is volume 6 of Al-Muallim, the Urdu translation by Allama Waheed-uz-Zaman (1850–1920), who was among the first to translate the major hadith collections into Urdu. The scan comes from the Digital Library of India, whose record dates this printing to 1890, so the page layout and spelling are those of a 19th-century lithographed book.

The other volumes of this printing have not been found yet; other editions of Sahih Muslim are listed on the work's page.
