Sahih Muslim (Volume 2)

Sahih Muslim is one of the six major collections of hadith (the Sihah Sitta) and, with Sahih al-Bukhari, one of the two collections known as the Sahihayn. It was compiled by Imam Abul-Husain Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj of Nishapur (d. 261 AH / 875 CE), who admitted only narrations that met strict conditions of authenticity and gathered the different chains and wordings of each hadith in one place.

This is the second of seven volumes of the English translation by Nasiruddin al-Khattab, edited by Huda Khattab with a final review by Abu Khaliyl, and published by Darussalam in 2007. Each hadith appears in Arabic with its English translation; the hadith were edited and referenced by Hafiz Abu Tahir Zubair Ali Zai.

Volume 2 covers hadith 1161 to 2262 and completes the chapters on prayer: the prayer of travellers and its shortening, the virtues of the Qur'an, the Friday prayer, the two Eid prayers, the prayer for rain, the eclipse prayer, and funerals.
