Home Economics 7 (English Medium) (2018-19)

Home Economics 7 is the English-medium Home Economics textbook for Class 7 (Grade 7) of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore. This is the board's own PDF of the full book: 126 pages scanned in colour, with twelve chapters in three sections.

Food and Nutrition has chapters on meat cookery, vegetable cookery, cereal cookery and growing seasonal vegetables. Sewing covers the use of the sewing machine, preparation for sewing, machine seams, decorative and regional stitches, and making different articles. Effective Living in the Family deals with the importance of education, house work and cleaning the house. The text is set out in short sections with colour photographs and labelled figures, recipes are given as a table of ingredients and a method, and every chapter ends with questions: short questions, ticking the correct statement and filling in the blanks.

The authors are Mrs. Safia Nazir Chughtai, Mrs. Anjum Nawaz and Miss Waseem Bano, the editors Mrs. Aisha Akhtar and Zabinda Mashkur, and the English translation is by Mrs. Khalida Riaz. The imprint gives April 2018, fourth edition, second impression, published for the board by Arslan Book Depot, Lahore. It is a different book from the board's newer Urdu-medium Home Economics 7, which has ten units. No page is missing; one divider page at the front sits before the contents instead of after them.
