Chemistry 12 (2016-17)

Chemistry 12 is the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board's chemistry textbook for Class 12 (Intermediate Part II, F.Sc. second year), written in English. This copy is a scan of the printed book of the 2016-17 session: 339 pages, with sixteen chapters, a glossary and an index.

The first six chapters are inorganic chemistry: Periodic Classification of Elements and Periodicity, s-Block Elements, Group IIIA and Group IVA Elements, Group VA and Group VIA Elements, The Halogens and the Noble Gases, and Transition Elements. Organic chemistry follows: Fundamental Principles of Organic Chemistry, Aliphatic Hydrocarbons, Aromatic Hydrocarbons, Alkyl Halides, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes and Ketones, Carboxylic Acids, and Macromolecules. The last two chapters are Common Chemical Industries in Pakistan and Environmental Chemistry. Each chapter opens with a box headed 'In this chapter you will learn', runs in numbered sections with tables, charts, structural formulae and reaction equations, and ends with exercise questions.

Karam Elahi, Mr. Tariq Ahmad Niazi, Mr. Zafar Mehdi Zafar, Mr. Javed Iqbal Lodhi and Mr. Muhammad Shoaib Jehangir; the editors are Prof. Dr. Jameel Anwar, Prof. Dr. M. Akram Kashmiri and Prof. Dr. Abid Zia. The imprint reads first edition, impression 22, June 2016, published for the board by Zeeshan Book Center, Lahore; the book was approved by the Federal Ministry of Education in June 2003. The copy is complete (printed pages 1 to 335); the reverse side shows through on many pages of the scan.
