Biology 11 (2016-17)

Biology 11 is the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board's biology textbook for Class 11 (Intermediate Part I, F.Sc. pre-medical first year), written in English. This copy is a colour scan of the printed book of the 2016-17 session: 335 pages, with fourteen chapters and a glossary.

The book opens with four pages on the relevance of Quranic injunctions to the study of biology. The chapters are Introduction, Biological Molecules, Enzymes, The Cell, Variety of Life, Kingdom Prokaryotae (Monera), The Kingdom Protista (or Protoctista), Fungi, Kingdom Plantae, Kingdom Animalia, Bioenergetics, Nutrition, Gaseous Exchange and Transport. The text is illustrated with numbered figures and tables, and the chapter-end exercise begins with fill-in-the-blank and multiple-choice questions. An alphabetical glossary of fifteen pages ends the book.

The editors are Dr. A. R. Please note: printed pages 289 to 304, sixteen pages of Chapter 14 (Transport), are missing from this copy; the rest of the book, up to page 329 and the whole glossary, is present.
