About this ghazal

One of Iqbal's best-loved early ghazals, from the first part of Bang-e-Dra. The speaker asks for nothing less than the furthest reach of love, playfully preferring a meeting with the Beloved to the paradise promised to the pious, and closes by owning up to the "crime" of saying a secret aloud in company.
