Surah Al-Ala

Surah Al-Ala (سورة الأعلى, "The Most High") is the 87th surah of the Holy Quran. It has 19 ayahs and was revealed in Makkah. It is often recited in the Friday, Eid and Witr prayers.

It begins with the command to glorify the name of the Lord, the Most High, who created and proportioned. It says that the one who purifies himself succeeds, and that the Hereafter is better and more lasting, as was written in the scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa.
