Surah Ar-Rum (سورة الروم, "The Romans") is the 30th surah of the Holy Quran. It has 60 ayahs and was revealed in Makkah.
It opens with the prophecy that the defeated Romans would soon be victorious, then lists the signs of Allah: the creation of the heavens and earth, the variety of languages and colours, sleep, rain, and the affection placed between spouses.
