English 10 (2013-14)

English 10 is the English textbook for Class 10 of the Punjab Textbook Board, Lahore. This PDF is a scan of the printed book: 173 pages, with 13 units, three reviews and a page of sample rubrics.

Each unit opens with its learning outcomes and pre-reading questions, gives the text in numbered paragraphs with while-reading questions, and is followed by sections on theme, glossary, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, oral communication and writing. The reviews are revision tests, and the sample rubrics show how essays, letters and oral presentations are marked.

The author is Sobia Kiyani, and the book was prepared for the board by Caravan Book House, Lahore. The credits state that it follows the National Curriculum 2006 and was approved by the Punjab Curriculum Authority in December 2012; the imprint gives March 2013, first edition, and the cover is marked for the academic year 2013-2014. No page is missing: printed pages 1 to 164 are all present.
