اس کے بالا ہے اب وہ کان کے بیچ

جس کی کھیتی ہے جھوک جان کے بیچ

Us ke bala hai ab wo kaan ke beech

Jis ki kheti hai jhok jaan ke beech

About this ghazal

A small ghazal on the refrain "ke beech" (inside): joy fills the heart at news of the beloved's coming, and when they do not come, everything in the house waits shut away, the paan in its box and the perfume in its bottle. 1 couplet of the original is not included here.
