About this ghazal

A reflective ghazal on how fleeting everything is. Friendship in the sea of existence is a bubble on water; we are a straw in a whirlpool; life is writing on a wave; body and soul are a rider with a foot already in the stirrup; beauty and love are a flash of lightning and a drop of quicksilver; the time we have is a drop of dew. The last couplet closes it: since the poet read the book of the heart, the meaning of every book has opened. Given in full.
