The wounded lover struggles to the last and still cannot reach the hand that struck him. Mir follows the beloved's litter like a caravan bell, asks the wind to carry word to the candle of the gathering after he has gone out, and ends with a shipwreck where not one plank reached the shore. One couplet of the ghazal is not included here.
