جستجو جس گل کی تڑپاتی تھی اے بلبل مجھے

خوبیِ قسمت سے آخر مل گیا وہ گل مجھے

Justuju jis gul ki tadpati thi ae bulbul mujhe

Khubi-e-qismat se aakhir mil gaya woh gul mujhe

About this nazm

The poet tells the nightingale that the flower he longed for is found at last. Once he was restless and his laments troubled the garden; now his sighs play with lightning, captivity has brought him freedom, and losing his heart has filled his home. Each stanza closes with a Persian couplet.
