About this ghazal

A spring ghazal of growth and daring. With the spring breeze back, the poet tells himself to sing: if you are a bud, become a flower; if a flower, become a garden. A handful of dust should spread like a desert, love's song should not hide inside the instrument, and the wise traveller should be dew in a garden and a storm in the desert. The last couplet warns that love of possessions breeds ease, so whoever wants to arrive must give up the baggage.
