ہوئی بامِ حرم پر آ کے یوں گویا مؤذن سے

About this nazm

The morning breeze goes round the waking world: it rouses the nightingale and the farmer at the edge of his field, carries the news of sunrise to the temple and the mosque, tells the bud to open and the desert caravan to move on. At the graveyard it whispers to the dead to rest, for it will put the world to sleep and wake them.
