Biology 12 — KPK Textbook Board (2020-21)

Biology 12 is the Grade XII (Class 12, 2nd Year, FSc Pre-Medical Part 2) biology textbook used under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board, in its printing for the academic year 2020-21. This PDF is a scan of a printed copy with 386 pages, covering units 14 to 27 (the numbering continues from the Grade XI book) and a glossary. Please note: the file is incomplete. Printed pages 104 to 106 (in Unit 17) and 307 to 334 (the second half of Unit 25 and the first eight pages of Unit 26) are missing, 31 pages in all, and printed page 212 appears twice.

The fourteen units are Respiration, Homeostasis, Support and Movements, Nervous Coordination, Chemical Coordination, Behavior, Reproduction, Development and Aging, Inheritance, Chromosomes and DNA, Evolution, Man and His Environment, Biotechnology, and Biology and Human Welfare. A glossary (pages 396 to 411) and a page of useful websites for biology students close the book.

The book is published by Leading Books Publisher, Peshawar, which holds the rights ("All rights reserved with Leading Books Publisher, Peshawar"), and carries the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board's name on its cover. Its imprint page says it was approved by the Directorate of Curriculum and Teacher Education, Abbottabad, according to the National Curriculum 2006 (No. 419-21/SS-II, dated 28-01-2013).
