Chemistry 9 — KPK Textbook Board (2019-20)

Chemistry 9 is the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board's English-medium chemistry textbook for Grade IX (Class 9, Matric Part 1), printed as a "Test Edition" for the academic year 2019-20. This PDF is a phone scan of a printed copy: 265 pages, with 8 units, a glossary and an index. Please note: printed pages 16 and 17, in Unit 1, are missing from this file.

The eight units are Fundamentals of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Periodic Table and Periodicity of Properties, Structure of Molecules, Physical States of Matter, Solutions, Electrochemistry and Chemical Reactivity. A glossary begins on page 249 and an index on page 259.

The book was developed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board, Peshawar, which holds all rights in it, and was approved by the Directorate of Curriculum and Teacher Education (DCTE), Abbottabad (NOC No. 1180-82/F.03/Vol-I/Chemistry - 9th, dated 15-02-2018). The credits page names the authors Muhammad Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Naseem Mustafa, Dr. Fida Muhammad, Muhammad Shoaib Awan, Syed Farheen and Prof. Nawab Khan, with Salmana Zaman Khan as editor. The back cover gives a print run of 357,749 copies. The scan is of a used student copy: there are pen marks and handwriting on many pages, a faint diagonal watermark across the pages and a scanner-app line at the foot of each page.
