Ye dil kyun kar nigah se us ki chhidte hain main hairan hun

Na khanjar hai na nashtar hai na jamdhar hai na bhala hai

Ye dil main ne to ae sahib badi mehnat se pala hai

Nazir ek aur likh aisi ghazal jo sun ke ji khush ho

Ari is dhab ki baton ne to dil mein shor dala hai

About this ghazal

A playful ghazal that starts from a single earring: thanks to that new ear-ring, the poet puns, your word now carries the day ("bol bala"). The glance pierces hearts with no dagger or spear; a crowd of beauties is not an army but a cavalry of fairies; and the heart being crushed underfoot is one the poet raised with great care. 2 couplets of the original are not included here.
