About this ghazal

A witty ghazal on the refrain "teesre din" (on the third day), drawing on folk beliefs and everyday lore: the moon hides and returns, a drowned body surfaces, a seed sprouts, a medicine takes effect, all on the third day. The last couplet kept reminds the flower that the season changes in a few days too. 2 couplets of the original are not included here.
