About this ghazal

A ghazal on the radif "hamein" (us): the beloved's ways did not please the poet; there was no need to trample him like this. The distance of that full moon wasted him to a crescent in ten days; every curl of the beloved's hair looks like a burden on his life; and at the end he asks Mir why there is such sorrow on his face. Three couplets of the original are not included here.
