About this ghazal

The heart is worth the whole world, and without it a human being is of no use to anyone. Mir asks who could explain why the beloved broke up the feast of the world, pleads for one kind word while his breath is failing, and ends caged, his scarred breast standing in for the season of roses. Two couplets of the ghazal are not included here.
