About this nazm

Beauty asks God why it was not made everlasting, and is told that the world is a gallery of pictures, a tale of the long night of non-being, where only that which fades is truly beautiful. The moon overhears, the morning star repeats it, the dawn tells the dew, the flower weeps, the bud's heart breaks, and spring leaves the garden in tears.
