digar-goon jahaan un ke zor-e-amal se

bade maarke zinda qaumon ne maare

About this nazm

Living nations have won great battles and turned the world upside down by the force of their deeds, the poem says. The astrologer's almanac for tomorrow is false, old stars have fallen, the world's conscience is so fiery that stars break from the river's waves, and the earth has no rest from earthquakes. The poem closes with Khizr on the bank of Wular, wondering how long the springs of the Himalaya will keep boiling.
