Surah Yaseen

Surah Yaseen (سورة يس) is the 36th surah of the Holy Quran, named after the two letters with which it opens. It has 83 ayahs and was revealed in Makkah. It is among the most widely recited surahs in Pakistan, read in homes daily and at gatherings.

It affirms the truth of the Prophet's message, tells the parable of the town to which messengers were sent, and points to the dead earth brought to life, the night and day, and the sun and moon as signs of the resurrection.
