Surah Al-Mulk

Surah Al-Mulk (سورة الملك, "The Sovereignty") is the 67th surah of the Holy Quran and the first surah of the 29th para. It has 30 ayahs and was revealed in Makkah. Many Muslims recite it every night before sleeping.

It declares that all dominion is in the hand of Allah, who created death and life to test which of you is best in deeds. It invites the reader to look again and again at the sky for any flaw, and to consider the birds held aloft and the water that could sink away.
