حسن مہ گرچہ بہ ہنگام کمال اچھا ہے

اس سے میرا مہ خورشید جمال اچھا ہے

About this ghazal

A ghazal on the refrain "achchha hai" (is good), full of lines that became proverbs. The beloved won't give a kiss yet keeps an eye on the poet's heart, thinking "goods for free are good goods"; a clay cup beats a king's goblet because a broken one is easily replaced; the beloved's visit brings colour to the patient's face, so they think he is doing well; a drop that joins the river becomes the river.
