SLO-Based Examinations at SSC Level (SSC 2022) — FBISE Circular (10 November 2021)

This is a two-page circular of the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, No. 1-10/FBISE/RES/SSC/21, dated 10 November 2021, on the subject "Students Learning Outcomes (SLOs) Based Examinations at SSC Level". It says that the Secondary School Certificate examination of 2022 will be based on Students Learning Outcomes instead of textbooks in English Compulsory, Urdu Compulsory, Pakistan Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science and Mathematics, with question papers set from the SLOs given in the curriculum of each subject.

The circular gives a suggested list of reference material: for each of the eight subjects, the curriculum year and the publishers of text and reference books for SSC-I and SSC-II, among them the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan textbook boards, the National Book Foundation and several private publishers. It adds that institutions are free to rely on any other instructional or reference material that meets the SLOs.

It is signed by the Director Research and Academics and addressed to the heads of institutions affiliated with FBISE. The day of the date and the last number of the reference are handwritten on the original; the scan carries a scanner-app line at the foot of each page.
