لب خشک در تشنگی، مردگاں کا

زیارت کدہ ہوں دل آزردگاں کا

Lab-e-khushk dar tishnagi, murdagan ka

Ziyarat-kada hun dil-azurdagan ka

About this ghazal

Two couplets kept in the standard Diwan. The poet calls himself the dry lip of those who died of thirst, a shrine visited by the wounded of heart, and the heart of everyone who was deceived by a promise of faithfulness.
