About this ghazal

All the poet owned was one heart, a single drop of blood, and even that hangs head down, ready to fall. The radif "woh bhi" (that too) strips away each comfort in turn: sulking at the beloved was only another form of madness, and even the thought of death is a weak catch. It ends wishing for the day he can tell her both his longing and his complaint.
