About this book
A well-known Urdu novel by Umera Ahmed whose title means "unattainable".
La Hasil is one of the better-known novels of Umera Ahmed, the Pakistani writer whose fiction has shaped a generation of Urdu readers.
Its title means "unattainable" or "that which cannot be gained", and the novel turns on that idea: the things people chase, what they give up for them, and what remains when the chase is over.
Readers who enjoy Umera Ahmed's mix of social drama and reflection on faith, as in Peer-e-Kamil and Hasil, will want this novel on their shelf.
