Sunan Abu Dawood
سنن أبي داود
Also spelled: Sunan Abi Dawud, Abu Dawood Sharif, Abu Daud, Sunan Abu Daud, سنن ابی داؤد, ابو داؤد شریف
Sunan Abu Dawood is one of the six major collections of hadith (the Sihah Sitta), compiled by Imam Abu Dawood Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath as-Sijistani (d. 275 AH / 889 CE). Arranged by subject, it gathers the narrations that bear on practice — purification, prayer, zakat, fasting, trade, marriage, judgements and conduct — and has long been a standard reference for students of fiqh as well as hadith.
The editions listed here are translations and printings of the collection in different languages and years.
